As this week marks the anniversary of V.E. Day, here are some activities you could do in addition to the main tasks that will be set on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Here are a couple of puzzles produced by Bletchley Park to keep your brains ticking over. If you don’t know about the role of Bletchley Park during the Second World War, you’ll find out more on Thursday.

You could try out a wordsearch, design a medal or make a model of a Spitfire if you feel like being creative.

There are some bunting templates that that you could print out and colour in or even design yourself to decorate your home.

If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, here are some wartime recipes you could try. How do carrot scones in the second document sound?

Finally, don’t forget the tea towel competition that was mentioned in last week’s newsletter. There’s plenty of time to enter if you would like to.
