Friday's Activities

Today's Activities

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

It is nearly the summer holidays!

Holidays are times where we can make happy memories. We spend time with people that we love. Sometimes we get to visit fun and exciting places. Lots of you live in Glenfield, so you have a little longer to wait until you can visit somewhere fun. But hopefully it won't be for long!

I am hoping to visit my family who live in Brighton. Brighton is by the sea. We won't go to the busy beaches though! We will find a quieter beach a bit further along the coast.

Have a look at the picture above with a grown up. Have a go at answering the following questions...What are the children doing? How do you think they are feeling? What would you be doing if you were there? What do you enjoy doing at the seaside? What do you like to eat at the seaside? Have you been to a sandy beach or a pebbly beach?

Look at the picture below. They are having a picnic outside. What food do you like to eat when you have a picnic? My boys like sausage rolls, crisps, cucumber, carrot, apples, bananas and lots of cake!

I hope you enjoy some special days with your family. You won't all be going to the seaside. But maybe you might have a picnic somewhere. I look forward to seeing you all after the holidays and hearing your news.

Below is your song for today.  It is a French song that many English grown-ups know so I bet they will sing along with you.

It is about a religious man called a 'monk'.  His name is 'Brother Jack'.  He is supposed to be ringing the church bells but he is sleeping!  Will he wake up and ring the bells?

The song is called 'Frère Jacques'.  This means 'Brother Jack'.   Enjoy!

If you would like to do some more singing, remember there is a file full of French songs.

Well done for all of your hard work this term!

Have a super fun-filled holiday!smileysmileysmiley
