Good morning year 5,

 

I hope that yesterday's lesson brushed off some cob webs in your mind about multiplication. 

Today we will continue to look at multiplication but going up to 4 digit numbers. The video below will recap how we use the area model alongside the column method to multiply 3 and 4 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers. Watch the video and answer the worksheet either alongside the video or after you have watched it. 

 

Remember: When multiplying by the tens column, you must add a 0 as a place holder.

If there is 10 or more in a column you must exchange.
