Good morning to you all!! We hope that you had a pleasant weekend. It’s not easy staying at home but try to be positive and keep a smile on your face!

Here are Friday’s answers:

Here are the answers for last week's 'mystery':

On the whole, you answered Friday's arithmetic well. The average score was 70%. The question that caught the majority of you out was the one about factors. Some of you didn’t recognise 3 and 16 as factors of 48. Others rushed at it: if you’d read option B to the end, you would have spotted that there was no 48!

The other one where some of you calculated incorrectly was the km to miles one. To change km to miles, ÷8, then x5.

Let’s start the week with a reflection.

Please let us know how you have been getting on with your home learning. Have you tried the activities? What have you learnt? What else have you been up to?

You can post your reflections here.

Once you've clicked on the link, Into the ‘Room Name’ box, type CHESTER263 if you’re in Class 14 and RODGER8236 if you’re in Class 13. Then click 'JOIN'.

Then type in your first name and last name initial so that we know who has answered. Then click 'DONE'.

You will then be taken to the question and a box in which to answer.

Once you have submitted your reflection, click ‘OK’. It will say ‘You‘ve completed the current activity. Waiting for the next activity to begin…

At that point, you can exit. We look forward to reading your responses. We aren’t able to respond to you personally, but we will read everything that you tell us.

Now for today’s learning:

The Daily Joke: laugh

What does a house wear?

Here are this week’s spellings:

For English, there is a grammar booklet based on terms and word classes. Each page contains a reminder before a quick task. You are used to doing these sorts of activities from Boosters. Indicate the correct answer in your exercise book in an appropriate manner. There is no need for excessive copying, just apply some common sense. If the question asks you to circle a word, just write the word down. If you’re asked to tick an option, just refer to it as option 1, 2, 3 or 4. Answer as many questions as you can in half an hour.

For today’s maths, we are going to continue with White Rose. You will again think about ‘scale factors’ which are closely related to ratio. There is a video to watch, then a task to complete. You can answer the questions in your exercise book.

Start by watching the video and then open the pdf sheet underneath for the questions.

Remember, you can pause the video at any point.
