Mrs Gohil

Happy Monday class 11,

I hope you have all had a good weekend, the weather definitely improved, hopefully it will stay warm for the rest of the week. Although, it was pretty funny packing up the pretend tea party we had set up outside in the garden and taking the clothes off the washing line in a massive hurry to get inside when it started to rain, which only lasted for about 5 minutes in the end!

It was lovely to read the messages from some of you on Friday. There were messages left for the class and for individuals too. Here's what you wrote:

Reuben's message for the class: Be safe, stay positive and I can't wait to come back to school and see you all, from Reuben😀

Alis: Hi

Amy's message to Isla: I miss you a lot like I said on texts and calls but it's not the same as seeing you in real life :( but I liked it that one time we social distanced on a walk so we could talk but still be safe! When I'm just sitting at my desk and I get a text saying you can call, I can't even describe how happy I get. I call you as quick as I can but time just goes too fast 😕 . Miss you from Amy !!!

Logan B's message to James: Hi James, I miss playing with you.

Ross's message to the class: I miss playing 'hide and seek tag' with you guys! ☺☺☺ I wonder what teacher we will have in year 6. I don't want to leave year 5.

Abigael's message to the class: How was the holidays and weekends and are you alright?

Liam's message to the class: I hope you're ok.

Logan T's message to the class: Hope you're having a good time.

Great messages, brought a smile to my face. Ross, I'm sure you will hear what teacher you will have in year 6 in the next 2 weeks. I'm glad you don't want to leave year 5 but you will love year 6. The topics I am teaching right now to the current year 6 are very interesting and there are lots of fun things that you get to do too.

I hope you are still keeping up with your reading. We have been studying extracts from the London Eye Mystery for guided reading. I was hoping it was still on our reading challenge shelf so I could continue to read it and find out what happened to Salim but someone must have borrowed it. Have you read that book? My son has just started reading Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone which is bringing back lots of happy memories for me.

I hope you are all keeping well and safe. Lots of things are starting to reopen and it is easier to see friends and family now. Hopefully things are starting to slowly return back to a bit of normality which helps us to stay positive

Have a good day,

Mrs Gohil laugh
