Spellings

In Year 5, the children have weekly spellings. They are given out and tested every Friday. The children each have their own Spelling Books which their spellings are stuck into. They should stay in their school bags whenever possible so that they can practice at home and at School. We have Spelling practice every Wednesday morning from 9.00-9.30am where we teach the children the spelling pattern for their next week's spellings. 

Here is a link to Readiwriter which the children are encouraged to use to practice their spellings. They all have a login and password that is stuck into their homework diaries. Their weekly spellings are updated each week on the website and there are various games and methods to help them to learn their spellings.
