Action Homeless

Special Harvest assemblies take place at The Hall in the Autumn Term.  Each year, we focus on a different important message. Reverend Richard Trewthewy from St. Peter’s joins us for the assembly and gives an exciting and thought provoking message. Parents, staff and children make donations of food gifts, including those grown by the gardening club. These are donated to ‘Action Homeless’, a local Leicester Charity caring for families in crisis. We have a representative, from the organisation, who delivers an assembly to the children about the work of the Charity and the support they provide through the Food Bank for hundreds of families in Leicester. An incredible amount of produce is collected and the charity is always amazed and grateful for the generosity and kindness shown by the school community.
