How will we support your child’s emotional education?

We recognise that some children have extra emotional and social needs that need to be developed and nurtured. These needs can manifest themselves in a number of ways, including behavioural difficulties, anxiousness, and being uncommunicative.

All classes follow a structured PSHE (Personal, Social, Health end Emotional education) curriculum to support this development. This includes Circle Time and R time.

Our behaviour policy has 'Emotion Coaching' and 'Restorative Justice' at its core and we encourage growth and resilience in all children.

However, for those children who find aspects of this difficult we offer

  • An in-school nurture provision, run by either trained learning support assistants or a team teacher. This is called a Socially Speaking Programme.
  • We also offer personalised behaviour programmes for children with specific needs.
